If front line workers, receptionists or switchboard operators are unprepared they may unwittingly find themselves quoted as 'a company spokesperson' or 'employee'. This half or full day course is designed for anyone who is likely to answer initial media enquiries both in and out of business hours. Questioning during this training is conducted by recording speakerphones. The course includes:
- Updating information and the importance
of keeping log sheets
- Understanding how reporters gather
information
- How to identify why reporters are calling
- Speaking on and off the record
- Coping with challenging questions
- Handling a crisis
- Conveying key messages
- Realistic scenarios recorded and feedback
All delegates receive full notes and a certificate when training is completed.
