Book before they go!
Just six spaces are left for July’s Press Release
Workshop. It’s being held on Thursday the 24th
at Broadland District Council. To confirm your space,
go to
www.broadland.gov.uk/trainingcourses or
contact the council’s Business Support Officer Jacqui
Raines on 01603 430449 or jacqui.raines@broadland.gov.uk.
Learn how to confidently write press releases that will
be taken seriously by news reporters. The workshop is
designed and run by Mediapro journalists who
regularly decide
whether to follow up or bin dozens of press releases. Find out why they prefer to deal with you direct
rather than via a PR agency.
If you’ve got positive, genuine news that you want
newspaper, radio and television reporters to know about,
this is the course for you.
Duration:
One-day course.
Equipment:
No equipment is necessary, pens and paper are supplied.
However, if you have a laptop and prefer typing directly
into it, please feel free to bring it along.
It’s important that you come armed with a couple of
strong story ideas that can be used as a basis for your
draft press release/s. It’s also helpful if you can
bring anything that illustrates what your business does,
for example: product samples, leaflets, photos and/or
newspaper clippings.
Lunch provided:
Free lunch the council’s restaurant. Refreshments
available throughout the day.
