Snake
stake out scoop
An escapee 7.5 foot long boa constrictor has been making headlines
worldwide. Diva made off after breaking her tank lock. Owner,
27 year old Abbi Harding of Ipswich, described the reptile as
being ‘hungry, hormonal and unfriendly.’ Diva hadn’t eaten for
3 weeks.
Suffolk police issued a public risk warning to nearby
residents: ‘Keep your children and pets indoors.’ The local
primary school also reassured concerned parents that their
children were being carefully monitored…with outside play
restricted to a ‘safe fenced off area.’

Doing
what we can to help
This summer Mediapro is again involved with charities both here
and abroad. When Maria Veronese went to New Zealand earlier
this year she filed stories for the BBC. All profits from her
radio and television work there are being donated to the
Christchurch Earthquake Fund:

Closer to home, we've volunteered to help with the pitch of a
£300,000 grant towards the build of a new rural community hall.
Last week one of our trainers helped the Village Hall Trustees
put together a short video. It will be included in their

Happy Easter!
It's
the time of new beginnings, spring cleaning and protecting the
environment. Apt then that our newest clients are hygiene
product manufacturers Jeyes, who've been in business for more
than 130 years and not for profit Waste Recycling Environmental
Limited (WREN). We're also

New
Zealand earthquake
News of the Christchurch earthquake in New Zealand has been
at the forefront of our minds. One
member of the Mediapro team is going to Christchurch this month
to offer assistance. With power and water still cut to many
homes there is plenty for volunteers to do. Our prayers and
thoughts go to those who have lost loved ones, been injured and
had their homes and livelihoods shattered by the September and
February earthquakes.

Bayer CropScience is
the main focus of our training this month. The chemical giant
has asked us to train its UK based staff should a major incident
occur. Mindful of needing to keep the public and media informed
at all times, Bayer wants its staff to efficiently handle
enquiries no matter what the situation, day or night. Mediapro
Manager Justin Cohu says: "We've enjoyed working with Bayer
CropScience since 2007. It's an ongoing relationship that sees
our training evolve in line with Bayer's rigorous safety
procedures."

Our day jobs as journalists have been frantic recently. Since
the usual holiday news lull it’s been full on. Kevin
Saddington’s just returned from filming an undercover
documentary in Germany while the rest of the team has been flat
out meeting daily news deadlines.

With the holidays over we’re doing a few extras as well as our
regular training. One of which is chairing a debate at Hethel
Engineering Centre. It’s for the East of England’s fourth
Exhibition of Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering. It’ll be
a lively debate about the future of electric cars.

Congratulations
Enormous congratulations must go to Maria Veronese and Hannah

Anglian Air Ambulance. Not only did they achieve the incredible
feat of running the London Marathon, they have also managed to
